FIRE AND IRON MC STATION 29 WV

Fire and Iron is a group of Firefighters and other people associated with the fire service who love to ride and have a good time. The club prides itself in its effort to support various organizations along with other clubs. Each member of Fire and Iron is either an active, retired, or volunteer member of the fire service community. In addition to firefighters we welcome dispatchers, inspectors, mechanics, and station volunteers of the fire service who share a passion for not only protecting the lives of the citizens of their community but also for the open road.

MEMBERSHIP:

A) No member shall be discriminated on basis of race, sex, or creed.

B) Membership shall be made up of those who are volunteer firefighters, paid firefighters, EMS, and fire department support (mechanics, inspectors, dispatchers, station volunteers, etc.).

C) Union membership not mandatory

D) All members spouses will be able to join (wives & husbands)

E) All makes and models of motorcycles will be accepted into the club. However, the member’s motorcycle must be at least 600 cc or greater and road worthy

F) Members at large will be any firefighter, EMS, or fire department support who lives outside of the tri-state. These members will not have any voting rights.

G) If for any reason you should no longer have a bike, you will have a time period of one year to get another bike in order to keep membership in club or if you can fall in under section 1 paragraph D.

H) Probation period is from 3 to 6 months. You and your sponsor must be present when you turn you application in. The next meeting you MUST be present to be voted in, even if your sponsor can not attend.

DUES:

I) Each member in good standings will be required to pay annual dues

J) 1st year membership and patch will be a one time payment of $75.00

K) After 1st year, dues will be $20.00 a year. Dues will be due in July of each year.

1. Dues may be subject to change via a majority vote of those members in good standing

2. Dues give each member (except members at large) voting and voice in club direction

 

3. FIRE AND IRON MC STATION 29 PATCH:

A) The FIRE AND IRON Station 29 patch design/logo belongs to FIRE

AND IRON MC STATION 29

FIRE AND IRON MC STATON 29 will be worn with honor and pride

Reasons for a member to loose his or her back patch and membership in the club are: non payment of dues, bringing shame and dishonor to the club, actions of a member by which a 2/3rd majority vote of the membership feel that the member is not keeping with the club’s spirit or intent, or A FELONY CONVICTION

Only members in good standing will be allowed to wear the FIRE AND IRON MC STATION 29 patch. If for any reason a member should leave or be removed from the club, that member will be required to turn in their back patch to the club chief or assistant chief.(NO REFUND)

No other patches should be against your back patch.

 

4. GENERAL INFORMATION:

A) Meetings will be held on every third Thursday at 7:00pm

B) The club will strive to have at least one (1) ride a month. All members

are encouraged to set a ride

There is only one event that will be mandatory, it will be held in June, you will have enough notice to make arraignments to attend

L) The following of safe riding practices are strongly encouraged: members not adhering to the "accepted" rules of the road will not be tolerated!

M) Personal conflicts or fighting within the "ranks" reflect poorly on the membership and will not be tolerated. Disagreements will be brought before the membership for settlement

N) Memberships in other motorcycle clubs are not allowed. Membership in association or groups is allowed: i.e. H.O.G., A.M.A., or G.W.R.R.A., etc.

O) FIRE AND IRON MC STATON 29 patches will be worn at all public club events: i.e. parades, charity events, and official rides

P) Your rank in the fire department does not carry into the club or hold sway over any club activities. What happens in the club stays in the club

Q) If for any reason you can not ride due to a health problem or lose of a spouse you will be able to stay in good standings as long as you keep up your dues

 

GOVERNMENT:

A) Officers will be President / Chief: Vice President / Asst. Chief: Sect. / Tres.: and Road Captains / Captains (no more than 4)

B) To hold a Chief / President, Vice President / Asst. Chief, or Sec. / Tres. you must be an active or retired certified WV Firefighter residing in WV

 

6. GENERAL NOTICE:

A) Any of the above listed rules are subject to change with 2/3rd majority

1) Vote of the current active membership or (good standings) and / or

by the Club President and Officers

2) You will be informed of any changes
